Hi
The Central Bank of Iraq increased the dinar exchange rate
10% today.
The official rate is now 1310 to 1 USD down from 1460.
Not the rate we're ultimately looking for but, hey, it's
a step in the right direction! :)
Now the question is...
Is this the start of a float, where the rate continues to inch up
little by little?
Is this a stepping stone test which leads to an RV/RI level surprise?
Or
Is this the new pegged rate we'll live with for a while?
Regardless, the rate increasing today is fantastic news.
The gurus are reporting Iraqi officials are still in Washington D.C.
negotiating/discussing the dinar situation.
This mean more changes to the dinar are likely to unfold in the coming days...
