Hi
Three things.
1. Parliament finally voted on the budget.
It's a 3 year record breaker too!
It's supposed to catapult Iraq into a booming economy.
Next stop - The president's desk for signature.
2. There's another exchange rate change coming?
According to articles...yes!
They say it's listed at 1300.
This is a 10 dinar decrease.
[Remember a decrease is good for us. We want that number to
go down.]
Sure it's little but the gurus think 1300 is the launchpad for
an incremental float.
The CBI has not officially changed the rate yet.
Perhaps they're waiting for the president's signature?
3. JP Morgan-Chase Bank sticks a flag in Iraq.
It appears Chase is the lead bank for international banking in Iraq.
Chase is one of the largest banks in the world.
VIPs met with the CBI governor and Prime Minister Sudani last week
and continue this week.
Does this mean we'll have a bank to exchange at?
I'll keep you posted on that one for sure!
