Yip & Mew - opinions to ponder, remembering there is no one right answer.  Scroll down if you only want glyphosate info or just click here for a longer article.

  • I am profoundly grateful to each of you seeking better health for your animals. Please have a safe, fun and nourishing holiday season.
  • Value homeopathy? Know people who say it is nothing? Kim and Micki Elia are producing a wonderful documentary that is very positive and shows the incredible benefits. More money to complete the documentary is needed, so please watch the trailer and donate at the website
  • Dr. Barbara Royal just did a very well attended webinar for Holistic Actions. She has amazing experience with many species for decades, I really respect her experience, and she is now running CIVTedu.org where you can take great classes (and suggest your vet does, too - 2 tracks). She says that dogs have a very big stomach (70% of the digestive tract) that are made to be filled with a lot of food, then slowly digest, then be empty for awhile to assimilate the nutrients. She recommends feeding only once a day at random times (I know, that is contrary to many recommendations) as that is how it is in the wild and keeps them alert, too. Sheep and goat milk is fine for dogs and cats, but avoid cow milk as it has alpha casein (cow butter ok).
  • She also said that cancer cells do not like fat, so do increase the fats in the diet if you are resolving cancer issues.
  • she has an on-line tool to help balance diets, though even she feels that most diets with a lot of variety are usually good.
  • I would add that small dogs and cats probably need more frequent feeding.
  • In 2016 a great documentary was made that I am just now hearing about. do you have friends or family who want to feed commercial kibble or canned? Watch just the preview on line, get the DVD or rent it - pet fooled.
  • Deep breathing is great for the lungs. Make sure the harnesses and collars are not restricting the expansion of lungs.
  • Amidst the multitude of new health options available that we discussed this year,  one fundamental principle builds health - conserving cellular energy. Energy is the essence of life itself, and by conserving it, we can regulate every aspect of our pet's well-being. Keeping this in mind as you make health care choices will ease your decisions.
  • You have the choice to be the quarterback of your pet's health care team. By taking control in collaboration with vets and energy-based healers, you can improve well-being, detect imbalances earlier, and enjoy more frequent wellness visits while saving on bills for expensive treatments.

GLYPHOSATE
Hopefully you are aware of the damages from glyphosate, are avoiding using it and exposing all members (2 and 4 legged) to it.

For a summit, I prepared a talk on glyphosate and the microbiome and learned some new, for me, facts.

Here are a few and more are in the whole article.
  • I will start boldly - if you can do anything at all to stop the production and use of glyphosate - do it now. This is causing much more damage to people, animals and the entire environment as DDT was. Let's all be Rachel Carsons.
  • There are 4x more microbes (bacteria, bacteriaphages, viruses, fungi and protozoa) than body cells, including blood cells.
  • They produce a mucus layer to protect the gut cells, vitamin synthesis, transforming bile acids, metabolizing toxic products, help regulate motility, make short chain fatty acids that help with cell communication, protect the tight junctions and even more.
  • Glyphosate wreaks havoc with health, especially in the gut.
  • The biggest danger is that it is water soluble, so it is now in 70% of the rain, and in almost every niche of the world.
  • When fed with gluten (all commercial foods) the damages multiplies exponentially
  • Nutrition is harmed when plants are sprayed with glyphosate (as a desiccant it ripens crops) or GMO seeds where the land is sprayed before planting. The glyphosate blocks production of amino acids in the plants needed to make protein for the pet's digestion. Another reason to buy your own ingredients (organic or your local farm that does not use glyphosate) for food for the whole family.
  • Another metabolite blocks chlorophyll production, so  decreases nutritional and medicinal value of plants.
  • The average diet in America is about 40% from food and 60% from chemicals. Testing at HRI labs showed a bowl of dog kibble had 400 ppb and raw meat had 2 ppb!
  • In the gut - glyphosate causes problems:
    • Good gut bacteria can be damaged
    • Bad bacteria are resistant to it
    • Thus the key balance is thrown off.
    • Gut cells are stimulated to make too much Zonulin which makes the gut tight junctions get leaky.
    • An enzyme needed to detoxify toxins is blocked
    • Pathways needing minerals function poorly.
Better health - Avoid, detox and heal
  • Buy clean ingredients when possible - this helps our planet as well as small, individual farmers
  • Grow your own
  • Add good bacteria regularly
  • Soil based probiotics
  • Zeolite
  • Test at HRIlabs.com
