Today is Give STL Day!

DR founders and early members discussing their vision for DR, circa late 1990s-early 2000s.

Dear friends,

Today is Give STL Day! Each year this fundraiser helps us continue our 25-year tradition of modeling sustainable community living. Will you join us in reaching our goal? Donate to our Give STL Day campaign today to further our mission of teaching others about a brighter future!

Twenty-five years ago, a group of Stanford University graduates, who were passionate about environmentalism and sustainable living, founded this special place that has inspired so many. In less than a week, many early founders will  join us here to celebrate Dancing Rabbit’s 25 years with a reunion of Rabbits from past and present!

Today, Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage is an evolving community that is home to a diverse range of families and individuals seeking to live in alignment with nature and each other. We have our own solar power grid that produces most of our electricity, rain catchment systems, and collective encouragement to reduce garbage waste and buy food in bulk, resulting in the average DR resident having a carbon footprint of under half of the average American’s.

Through our nonprofit, the Center for Sustainable and Cooperative Culture, Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage offers outreach programs, including natural building workshops, permaculture design certifications, ecovillage experience weekends, and immersive two-week visitor programs, to share what we’ve learned about eco-living and to give others the experience of living in an ecovillage.

Will you join our mission to create a greener and more cooperative vision for the world? Give today to be part of our 25-year tradition of ecological and cooperative living!

To double your impact, give during these power hours, when the St. Louis Community Foundation and participating sponsors will give an additional portion to all nonprofits that receive a donation during these times:

It is with the support of people like you, who care about the world, that we can continue to inspire people to live lightly on the earth and care for each other through intentional community!
