Like us, you are someone that cares about the environment, sustainability, and community. Otherwise, you would not be receiving this email! However, the difference between holding those values in a mainstream setting and relocating to an ecovillage is a huge step. Many of our residents felt that same uncertainty before moving. You might be asking yourself questions like: what does it mean to live in an ecovillage? Will all of my needs be met? Can I bring my dog?

Before taking the plunge, most of our residents went through DR’s visitor program. Our visitor program is a three-day to two-week workshop series where you can dip your toes into life at Dancing Rabbit (and in our beautiful swimming pond) before deciding if this is the home for you. Learn firsthand about our way of life from current residents during walks, lectures, and delicious meals. We know that signing up for the visitor program can still feel nerve-wracking. You might be wondering: what am I getting myself into? Is this a commitment to move here? Is it worth traveling all the way to Missouri for this? Will I have to sleep with the goats?

To start, the answer to that last question is no! You won’t need to sleep with the goats; we have several options for accommodations ranging from camping and basic cabins to our comfortable straw bale inn. And the visitor program is not a commitment to move here, some people just come for a vacation! Your list of questions may be more extensive than this, and that’s why we are inviting you to our:
