Your Opportunities to Come to Dancing Rabbit in 2024

, it is hard work pushing through the resistance of the status quo, swimming against the current that is sweeping us toward greater social polarization and climate destabilization. Sometimes you just need a break, sometimes new inspiration, or an opportunity to recharge and restore your own sense of hope and purpose.

Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage is here to provide you that forward momentum. It doesn't matter if you're just learning about intentional community, seeking a community to join, or starting one of your own. Or if you’re looking for ways to improve your neighborhood, how to build a new one, how to help bridge different perspectives, or just how to grow a better garden, we have something for you!

Take a quick look at our experiential education opportunities, either for yourself or a friend, and reinvigorate your enthusiasm and personal sustainability for the work you have chosen to pursue toward a happier, healthier, and safer world.

Immersive visitor programs: Join us for a three-day weekend or up to two weeks diving deep into sustainable living, through informative and hands-on workshops where you learn about life at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage. Delight in the amazing connections you’ll make during your time here simply by sharing work with us! We're hosting six visitor sessions from April through October. Natural building programs: Learn to use natural materials for sustainable home building and other projects. Join Dancing Rabbit builders Alis Yoder and Mae Ferber for these hands-on introductions to natural building. We're hosting a couple of these hands-on workshops in late May and early July. Get ready to get messy!

Permaculture design course: We are thrilled to have Bill Wilson from Midwest Permaculture back for another inspirational course that will give you everything you need to revitalize your own land, wherever you call home. Take advantage of Bill's comprehensive experience from practicing and teaching permaculture over the past 20 years, and you'll leave with a lot more hope for our planet’s future and your role in it. Late June is a beautiful time of year to experience the Dancing Rabbit ecosystem. For more information, or to register, click here!

Women's retreat: Embrace growth, self-love, and transformation during our four-day Women’s Retreat. The path to amplifying passion in your life, creativity and sacred gifts starts here! Your heart has beckoned you to embrace your calling and the gifts within. Now is your time to listen to your inner wisdom and take the first step toward achieving what you really desire in your life. A journey of self-discovery and reclaiming your radiance awaits! Treat yourself to a long weekend in mid-May to awaken and transform yourself!

What Can You Imagine?
Dancing Rabbit's mission is to share what we have learned in our nearly three-decades of experience and to support others as they explore their own paths toward deeper community and ecological sustainability.

Consider coming to Dancing Rabbit for a Founders' Retreat to pick our brains, get facilitation support, and focus on the development of your own forming community.

Bring your class on a student field trip to our living laboratory and work with us to design a program tailored to your students and your curriculum.

Writing a book or just need some time away? Contact us to organize a stay at the Milkweed Mercantile Inn as a working or resting retreat in a quietly inspiring location with abundant natural beauty.

You don't have to come to Dancing Rabbit to make a difference! Consider making a legacy donation to DR’s nonprofit, the Center for Sustainable and Cooperative Culture, to support science-based research on sustainable living, or to sustain our own resiliency grant funding activities.

Let's explore these paths toward sustainability together.
