Tuesday was our first potluck at Dancing Rabbit since we started enacting Covid precautions roughly a year ago. It was so uplifting to share finger foods with community mates, to see people in an informal social setting and to enjoy locally prepared foods from others! Leading up to the event my pallette was anticipating some inventive chickweed application, the cooks here are so creative. Finding connection has been tough for so many people. How have you maintained your equilibrium during our adjusted societal norms?

 

In addition to our internal events, we are able to navigate having people come visit in person for our programs this year. Getting a chance to share the experience of Dancing Rabbit is important for our collective morale and mission. Creating this ecovillage and the systems to maintain it is work, sharing it with others lightens this load and allows us to see things through “outside” eyes.
