Show Synopsis
This hilarious Off-Broadway hit, set in a run-down apartment on Staten Island, concerns three gay roommates coming to a crisis during one frantic Christmas weekend. Terry, an out-of-work actor who can't keep a job or get a date,
spends his days swilling cheap vodka and playing referee to a messy love triangle. Extremely funny and deeply moving, The Crumple Zone is about staying together, breaking apart, and the things we lose along the way.
Character Breakdown
Casting a replacement for two actors that had sudden conflicts out-of-town. Need actors who can commit to being here almost
every night until performance. Will list all characters because some current actor would be willing to change roles if we find the right guy for another role:
TERRY (male) Early 20s – Early 30s. A manic ball of energy with a scathing sense of humor. Absolutely neurotic with a penchant for hitting the bottle.
BUCK (male) Early 20s – Early 30s. Extreme
GQ good looks and just as charming. Love sick and somewhat obsessive.
ALEX (male) Early 20s – Early 30s. An NYC actor, but now playing mall Santa in Staten Island. Constantly on the verge of a nervous breakdown. His questionable choices get him into trouble.
ROGER (male) Late 20s – Early 40s. A big tank of a blue-collar man, sexy… dangerous.
MATT (male) Early 20s – Early 30s. Boyishly good-looking, somewhat naive and innocent. (playwright has given us permission to cast this role female if we choose.
