Show Synopsis
Trilby the Musicologist brings new music each decade to Mrs. Claus and Al, the piano-playing elf at the North Pole for Santa’s elves to enjoy while they make toys for children. Includes traditional, popular, ethnic and new holiday tunes from mid-1800s through present day.
Character Breakdown
“Mrs. Claus” is a traditional happy, positive woman who sings soprano with Trilby the Musicologist harmonizing. She has one main costume, which will be provided, of a red skirt with petticoats and a white blouse. She will change aprons each “decade” during the scene changes. She has a couple of solo numbers, but most songs will be performed with Trilby. Production is planned that Mrs. Claus and Trilby can have their “music” in a book in their hands, which can
also hold a script to cheat from if needed. Mostly popular, familiar holiday songs with a few that may need to be learned. Show will be performed with live piano accompaniment by “Al, the Piano Playing Elf.”
What To Prepare
