THREE TALL WOMEN by Edward Albee. Runs 10/18 to 11/2
ACTUALLY synopsis: Amber and Tom are freshman at Princeton. She likes him. He’s not totally sure about her. When they share a drunken night together, consent isn’t clear, and Amber wakes up knowing that something was wrong even when she’s not able to fully articulate how and why things went awry. The play is a complex exploration of a campus rape trial and the societal and peer pressures that have the potential to create such a situation.

Character Breakdown
ACTUALLY
Amber: Female, 18-29, high-strung, talkative, charmingly neurotic and emotionally innocent. She is Jewish. Stage experience is important. Ethnicity: Caucasian
Tom: Male, 18-29, appealing and confident with some swagger, but not smarmy. He has a genuine smoothness. Stage experience is important. Ethnicity: Black / African Descent
THREE TALL WOMEN
A (Lead): Female, 50+ (plays 90), proud, autocratic, with a mild case of Alzheimer’s.
B (Lead): Female,40-60. Similar to A at age 52
C (Lead): Female,18-35. Similar to A at age 26
The Boy (Supporting):Male, 18-30 (plays 23), non-speaking role.
What To Prepare
Please prepare one monologue at least 2 minutes in length. Time permitting, a second monologue of a contrasting style, also no longer than 2 minutes. Please bring at least one hard copy of your headshot/resume to the audition.

Starting our 17th season, iTheatre Collaborative is a resident company of the Herberger Theater Center. All of our productions are performed on the intimate Kax Stage.
