The Crucible – South Mountain Community College
Regarded as one of America’s classics, The Crucible is a fictional retelling of the historical events surrounding the Salem Witchcraft Trials of 1692. When a group of teenage girls is discovered dancing in the woods, an outcry of witchcraft sweeps through the Puritan village of Salem, Massachusetts. Soon the girls are pointing fingers at the most prominent citizens in town, prompting vicious accusations, corrupt trials, and wrongful executions fueled by fear, greed, and mass hysteria.

KAYD is a workshop that introduces theater artists to a method for creating theater through collaboration-performers, writers, directors and designers. By creating a list of theater needs and then challenging those needs, we hopefully create real challenges to the form to keep ourselves honest and make great work. This approach is similar to that used by companies such as Elevator Repair Service, Pig Iron Theater and New York City Players, artists like Aaron Landsman and Young Jean Lee.

The Sound of Music – Scottsdale Community Players
Captain Baron von Trapp is a widowed ex-naval officer with seven children who serve only to remind him of his deceased wife.
