Steel Magnolias – Ghostlight Theatre
The play is set in Truvy’s Beauty Salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done. The action spans two years, starting with the impending marriage of the prettiest girl in town, leading to her untimely death due to a risked pregnancy and how the tragedy draws the ladies even closer together. This film tells you more about Kaida - The Dragon Slayer. Her family was brutally murdered by a man bearing a dragon ring. After moving to China with her Uncle she then masters 12 kung fu martial arts from 12 grand masters. Then is Trained by a man named Kongsi who has master all styles including some Japanese arts, which led to him creating a sacred style that is shared with Kaida.
