Synopsis
Henry Higgins wagers he can transform a Cockney flower girl into an aristocratic lady never dreaming he will be transformed! A sparkling score of enduring favorites including “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “Wouldn’t it be Loverly,” “The Rain in Spain,” and “Get Me to the Church on Time.” Based on George Bernard Shaw’s most incisive social satire, a joyful, crowd-pleasing celebration for the entire family.

Character Breakdown
+ ELIZA DOOLITTLE: (20-30) Soprano. A young Cockney flower girl from Lisson Grove working outside Covent Garden. Her potential to become ”a lady” becomes the object of a bet between Higgins and Pickering.
+ HENRY HIGGINS: (40-60) Baritone. British, upper class professional bachelor, world famous phonetics expert, teacher and author of “Higgins’ Universal Alphabet.”
+COLONEL PICKERING: (40-65) Baritone. Retired British officer with colonial experience and the author of “Spoken Sanskrit.”
+ MRS. HIGGINS: (50-75) Henry’s long-suffering mother. Is not at all intimidated by her son. Demonstrates a real affection for Eliza.
+ MRS. EYNSFORD-HILL: A friend of Mrs. Higgins and Freddy’s mother.
+ FREDDY EYNSFORD-HILL: (20-30’s) Tenor. Upper class young man who becomes completely smitten with Eliza.
+ ALFRED P. DOOLITTLE: (40-65) Baritone. Eliza’s father; an elderly but vigorous dustman.
+ BARTENDER: George, works the Tottenham Court Road Pub. (Doubles in the ensemble)
+ HARRY: Drinking companion of Alfred Doolittle. (Doubles in the ensemble)
+ JAMIE: Drinking companion of Alfred Doolittle. (Doubles in the ensemble)
+ MRS. PEARCE: (40-65) Henry Higgin’s housekeeper.
+ MRS. HOPKINS: A cockney woman of Tottenham Court. (Doubles in the ensemble)
+ ENSEMBLE: (20’s-60’s) Bystanders, Cockneys, Butler, Footmen, Lord and Lady Boxington, Flower Girl, Selsey Man, Hoxton Man, Maids, Buskers, Servants, Stewards, Chauffeur, Policemen. ALL MUST SING AND DANCE.

DIRECTOR:
Cambrian James (Director) is well-known for his versatile staging at theaters throughout the Valley and nationally. He is a multi-award winning director and choreographer for his work in productions of Phantom, Footloose, Damn Yankees and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Cambrian has also enjoyed a long career as an actor and dancer in Annie (Daddy Warbucks), Crazy For You (Bobby Child), The King and I (the King) and in the recent Hale production of Hairspray (Edna Turnblad).
