PLEASE NOTE: THE HISTORY OF THE DEVIL DOES NOT PERFORM until APRIL with rehearsals starting in MARCH.  These auditions are being held IN CONJUNCTION with auditions for ANGELS IN AMERICA: MILLENNIUM APPROACHES, which performs in JUNE with rehearsals starting in MAY. YOU MAY AUDITION EITHER SHOW OR BOTH SHOWS.

AUDITIONS

will be held on Monday, Jan. 19th and Tuesday, Jan. 20th from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm

Auditions will be held in two groups each night, one from 5:30 to 8:00pm and one from 8:15 to 10:30pm

at METROPOLITAN ARTS INSTITUTE (“METRO ARTS”)1700 N. 7TH AVENUE – Right by the corner of 7TH AVENUE and McDOWELL.

NEEDED for ANGELS IN AMERICA

5 MEN and 3 WOMEN between the ages of 18-55+

Actors of ALL ETHNICITIES are encouraged to audition.

All actors in Millennium Approaches play multiple roles, one usually being cross-gender.Versatility is key.

STIPEND RAGE: $125-$200

NEEDED for HISTORY OF THE DEVIL

4 MEN and 4 WOMEN between the ages of 18-55+

Actors of ALL ETHNICITIES are encouraged to audition.

The History of the Devil is told in vivid conceptual imagery with mask-use, fabric-use and “movement.”  All actors need to be versatile and able to transform themselves vocally and physically. Almost every track plays at least one cross-gender role, but not in “drag,” more in voice and physicality.

STIPEND RAGE: $125-$200

PREPARE

A one-minute dramatic monologue, and then cold reads from the script. Sides will be issued in advance via email

CALLBACKS for ANGELS IN AMERICA: MILLENNIUM APPROACHESwill be held on MONDAY, FEB. 2nd at 6:00pm.–BE PREPARED TO STAY LATE–Callbacks will consist of cold reads from the script and movement.

CALLBACKS for HISTORY OF THE DEVILwill be held on MONDAY, JAN. 26th, at 6:00pm. –BE PREPARED TO STAY LATE–Callbacks will consist of cold reads from the script and movement.

REHEARSALS BEGIN for ANGELS IN AMERICA: MILLENNIUM APPROACHES
Sunday April 26th. Four to five nights a week, 6pm to 10:00pm.

PERFORMANCE DATES for ANGELS IN AMERICA: MILLENNIUM APPROACHES
are June 5th – 20th, Wed-Sat at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 6:00 pm or 2:30 pm alternating.

Sunday March 1st. Four to five nights a week, 6pm to 10:00pm.

PERFORMANCE DATES for HISTORY OF THE DEVIL
are April 10th – 25th, Wed-Sat at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 6:00 pm or 2:30 pm alternating.

We like actors to submit electronic headshots & resumes with their appointment request.  But pleaseResumes are not required, but a HEADSHOT, or ANY PICTURE OF YOURSELF is REQUIRED. Even a laser copy!
