Character Breakdown

MILES (40-50) (ethnicity open) – Miles is a homicide detective. He is undergoing some changes in life as his wife, Elizabeth has kicked him out and filed for divorce…for real this time. His newest case is bizarre and disturbing and the only witness is a young girl. There has always been a mutual attraction between Miles and his colleague, Rachel, a child Psychiatrist. With this new case, and things falling apart at home, Miles finds himself drawn closer to Rachel.

LAMAAR – 10-15 , (African American) Lamaar is more or less, your average American boy. Except that his parents were murdered when he was very young, and he now lives with his adopted Mother Rachel, a Child Psychiatrist. Though Lamaar’s traumatic experiences sometimes manifest themselves in strange ways, he is fundamentally a good, decent kid.
