Character Breakdown
MILES – 30-40, Miles is a homicide Detective and Rachel’s colleague. Miles is in a major transitional period as his wife has just left him. He is clearly attracted to
Rachel.
DR. JENNINGS – 35-50. A distinguished child psycologist. He is the head of a Mental institution for traumatized and mentally ill children.
JOE – 25-50. Joe is a friendly, good looking orderly at the institution. At first glance, JOe is clean cut and good with the kids. But he harbors a dark
secret.
JAMES – 30-40. James is a Homicide detective and Miles’ partner. He’s troubled by the odd circumstances surrounding the deaths of a local couple.
CAPTAIN HELLER – 50-60. An older Police Captain, Heller fancies himself something of a celebrity. He never misses an opportunity for a good photo op
and this causes resentment among some of his underlings. Particularly Miles and James.
GRANDMOTHER – 60-80. Caucasian A very old woman with a dark past. She is telling ancient fairy tales to her grand daughter.
ZOE – 8-12. Caucasian. Zoe is quiet, but not shy. She has an odd manner that can sometimes
be “creepy.” She has the countenance of someone much older. She doesn’t seem upset by the bizarre deaths of her foster parents.
LAMARR – 12-14. African American. Lammar is an average, preteen American boy. He lives with his adopted Mother, RACHEL. Lamaar is willful and his early childhood trauma sometimes manifests itself in strange ways. But he is fundamentally a friendly, decent
kid.
BOY – 8-12. A normal little boy. He is having a great time playing tag in the woods with his sisters
ANNE – 8-12. A normal little girl. She comes upon Zoe in the woods. She’s creeped out by Zoe’s fascination with the carcass of a squirrel.
CHILD#1 – 8-12. A patient at a Children’s mental institution. Sad but hopeful.
CHILD#2 – 8-12. A patient at a Children’s mental institution. Sad but hopeful.
JENNY – 40-60. A sweet, middle aged woman. Jenny is going door to
door in her apartment building, asking her neighbors to donate to her Holiday canned food drive.
TAMMY – 40-60. Jenny’s friend. She is moved by Jenny’s charity and wants to help.
