Synopsis
Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest… and then some! Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales.

This will be the Arizona premiere of Big Fish!

Actors who are cast will be required to pay a participation fee of $235

Actor’s Youth Theatre is an award winning (ariZoni and National Youth Arts) theatre for actors ages 8-18. “Big Fish” is for actors 13-18 year olds.

We have an award winning production team as well. This is the Arizona premiere of Big Fish! We are so excited to present this powerful and moving show!

There is an audition workshop the week before auditions for those who want to get a step up on the auditions.

What To Prepare

Auditions are closed – no one is permitted to watch.

You need to arrive 20 minutes early – we will take your picture and process your paperwork. These pictures will be used in the program if you are cast. Resumes will be accepted, but are not required.

Auditions, rehearsals and performances will be at the Tuscany Theatre
(861 N Higley Rd, Gilbert – NE corner of Higley and Guadalupe)

This is a cold audition. You will be taught the song and dance, and given something to read at the audition. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in and good shoes!

However – there will be an audition workshop on May 9th for those interested in getting a step up on the audition. Go to our website for more info.

The Audition Packet is on our website (www.actorsyouththeatre.org). Please review the rehearsal schedule in the packet carefully and note any conflicts on the audition form. There will be NO additions to the conflict schedule once the casting is done. Conflicts are taken into consideration while casting.
