Synopsis
Now in it’s 37th year, the Celebration of
Christmas is a valley holiday tradition that has played to over 2 million people . This theatrical spectacle features great Christmas music, various dance styles, aerial artists, flying angels, live nativity and a 40 piece orchestra.

Breakdown
This show has a cast of about 300 – actors, singers, dancers, and specialty artists. Please audition for as many areas as you would like
ACTORS – Seeking strong actors to be featured in leading and supporting roles.
DANCERS – Seeking beginner, intermediate and advance dancers for a diverse genre of styles, including:
lyrical, ballet, drill, swing, tap, modern, Broadway, jazz, etc.
VOCALISTS – Seeking strong singers to be featured soloists and small ensemble members (duets, trios, etc) in various musical styles – Broadway, pop, classical, Gospel, rock and more. We are also compiling an 8-part mixed ensemble featuring tight harmonies and complex arrangements.
SPECIALTY – This includes gymnastics,
acrobatics, cheer, par cor, roller skating, hip hop/step dancing, skateboarding, working with hoops, apparatus, batons or other devices.
PERCUSSIONISTS – for a ‘Blue Man Group -style’ scene featuring cadences on various marching drum types
Additional Info
Phoenix First has a national reputation for it’s Christmas production,
and recently it has expanded it’s theater programming to include Broadway musicals. This summer, they produced a highly successful run of ‘Mary Poppins’. Artistic Directors Mark & Rachel Stoddard have been involved with the valley theater scene for over 20 years.
