Synopsis
A high profile court case over the ultimate fate of Judas Iscariot, the New Testament’s most infamous and unexplained sinner. The play uses flashbacks to unfold both sides of the story and reexamine his plight. Lawyers call on the testimonies of fun and zany characters, such as Mother Teresa, Chiaphas the Elder, Saint Monica, Satan, and many others who may have interacted with Iscariot during his most challenging and controversial time of his life.

GCC is home to an award-winning theater arts program. GCC students are regularly recognized by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for acting, set and costume design, and lighting and audio skills. We invite the community to enjoy theatre performances by students, faculty and visiting artists throughout the year.
The director, Layne Racowsky, obtained her MFA in Directing at The New School for Drama in New York City and has a background in theatre education, theatre for social change, and new play development. At GCC – she teaches Acting, Directing, Voice/Diction, and Modern Drama. Layne is a member of the Theatre Artists Studio and has worked with multiple theaters around the valley such as Southwest Shakespeare Company, Theatre Works, Black Theatre Troupe, and The Arizona Jewish Theatre Company. She is currently working to bridge the gap between school and working professionally within the community for GCC students.
