Synopsis
Welcome to the electric 29th season of the Scottsdale Conservatory Theatre (SCT) preparing students for the professional world of theater! This is not a summer theatre camp. This professional training program is the only one of its kind offered in Arizona! Our “boot-camp” in theatre training meets Monday – Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and is an audition/interview process that accepts only 20 actors and 15 technicians/designers so you will be surrounded by people who are committed!

Our “boot-camp” in theatre training meets Monday – Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and is an audition/interview process that accepts only 20 actors and 15 technicians/designers so you will be surrounded by people who are as committed to your craft as you are!

Scottsdale Conservatory Theatre is a six-week summer program that offers an exciting opportunity for acting students to earn college credit while studying with professional actors who are currently working in their field.

The acting program consists of 10 college credits!

Classes are in stage movement, mask, dance, voice and diction, and text analysis, character development, scene study, musical theatre and all students will have performance opportunities alongside professional actors working in the industry in the fully produced main stage production during the final week of SCT.

This is an intensive and nurturing program that will benefit students at every level! Auditions and interviews are required to join this year’s lucky group of 20 students.
The technical program consists of 9 college credits!


Classes in script analysis, career development, props, lighting, set, costumes, and make up design and practical production design experience in our full-length production at the end of the summer. Interviews are on April 16th from 10am-4pm

What To Prepare

Actors should prepare two memorized contrasting monologues( comic/serious, or Shakespeare/Contemporary) not to exceed 4 minutes total length of both pieces. Tech/designers are required to do an interview and show portfolio of work if you have one.
