As Desmond Trotter, the head coach of a dominant D1 college football team, heads into his third consecutive BCS championship game, two journalism students, Felix and Macy, from the same school investigate him with the theory that he will intentionally throw the game. After following the coach home, Felix and Macy stake out his house as Trotter meets with Frank, a member of the mafia who is pulling Trotters strings. Macy and Felix stake out the meeting and get more than they bargained for.
