Recently filmed as a local feature titled POSTMARKED, and written by Valley playwright Ron Hunting; Stray Cat is thrilled to mount the World Premiere production of the original play - a comically dark, taut new thriller. While making his appointed rounds, mailman George Ruth witnesses a murder. He thinks it’s a drug deal gone bad. Boy is he ever wrong. Think the unpredictability of Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs) meets the dark undercurrents of Martin McDonagh (The Pillowman).

The short film is about a man known as Pops who uses alcohol to cope with the loss of his son. However, he is being tormented by his loss as he begins to hear his son's voice from the bedroom. As he follows the voice to the bedroom, he instead finds something far darker waiting for him.

The Amazing Mortimer – Huntington University
"The Amazing Mortimer" is a Huntington University-produced short film about a down and out ventriloquist who realizes that he can no longer make a living doing what he loves. The only positive in his life is his relationship with Gerry, the nephew/niece of a theatre owner, who is about to be taken off to boarding school. In the end, Morty's love of his craft is renewed as he becomes Gerry's mentor- and they perform shows together. Student production: Copy/Meal/Credit will be provided.

Guys & Dolls – Scottsdale Musical Theater Company
Set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler, Nathan Detroit, tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they’ve been engaged for fourteen years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, and Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown, as a result.
