Synopsis
See all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters brought to life, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many

Additional Info

We are casting youth and adults.
Auditions are open to performers ages 8+
We will be casting a very large ensemble for this production.

Please prepare 32 bars (a verse and chorus) of a song in the style of the show. No a capella numbers, please. Auditioners are encouraged to audition with sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. MP3 tracks can be accommodated if necessary.

Please come with any potential conflicts for rehearsal you might have between May 22nd and July 14th. No performance conflicts will be honored.

There is a stipend pay of $100 for performers ages 19+
There is a production fee of $50 for performers ages 8-18.
There is no fee to audition.
Scholarships are available.
