Sun Into Cancer 2016: The Gift of Vulnerability

Published: Mon, 06/20/16

Welcome to Elizabeth's Oracle

Sun Into Cancer 2016 Edition
Happy Summer 2016!

Grab a snack - Cancer loves some food!  That and this Special 7th Anniversary edition of the newsletter, compiled during chatty Gemini, got a little longer than planned.  There are so many uplifting items to share, and I wanted to include them all.  It's hard to believe, but we're are already reaching the midpoint of the year.  The good news is that giant, generous Jupiter is picking up steam as it prepares for its September entrance into the activating cardinal sign of Libra.  That long, slow start to 2016 is officially over.  To help us move into the adventurous, groundbreaking spirit of the cardinal signs, the Sun, Venus and then Mercury are making their way into Cancer.  All of the details about this cycle are in this month's video and on the latest edition of Kristy's Connection To The Soul.  Exclusively for subscribers, here's some information that's not in this month's video.  Jupiter, the planet of plenty, is making a harmonious connection with powerful Pluto on the 26th of June.  Notice what shows up as this momentous earth sign meetup becomes exact.  Jupiter rules gifts and luck.  So pay attention to the doors that are opening at this time, and find the courage to walk through them!

In case you don't have time to check out my new video, I want to include a link to one of the best ideas I've run across this year, one so perfectly fitting for the Sun sign of Cancer.  Back in March, researcher Brene Brown was a keynote speaker here at SXSW.  It was at that point that I discovered her work on the subject of vulnerability.  Her work indicates that vulnerability is essential for success and happiness.  Here is a link to her TED talk.  Cancer, symbolized by the crab with its hard shell and soft underbelly, is the astrology sign that is both water and cardinal.  That means its highly intuitive and emotional, and its cosmic imperative is to move beyond its comfort zone.  I feel like we live in a world where vulnerability is considered to be a flaw or weakness. The truth, as it turns out, is just the opposite.
From the Oracle

Honestly, it came up again (like in the Taurus edition), so I'll assume that the Angels are emphasizing this very timely point...

Amber

Golden amber is here to dispel fear, negativity, and darkness. Like rays of sunshine, amber’s Light is restoring optimism now.

THE MEANING BEHIND THE CARD

The life-giving force of the sun is always shining, even behind banks of the darkest clouds. Golden amber resonates with similar brilliant and revitalizing energy. Whether you are doubting yourself, receiving negativity from someone, or facing a moment of uncertainty, this message reminds you that no matter the illusion, you are always connected to an eternal Source of pure radiance.
To dispel depression and dark energies, work with amber’s healing rays. They will reinvigorate your mind, body, and spirit with vibrance and enthusiasm.

TOOLBOX

Fuel up on solar power. If you can access the sun, do this exercise at a point of direct sunlight. If sunshine is not available, fully imagine it. If you have amber, place it in your left hand. First, notice or bring to mind the brilliance of the sun’s light. Next, absorb or imagine the heat emanating from the sun’s rays. Draw this solar power through your chakra system, starting with your crown chakra. Breathe it into each of your seven chakras, all the way down to your root chakra, allowing extra time at any point where you sense a need for more of the sun’s energy.
As you feel this life force move into you, affirm that every cell of your body, every fiber of your being, and every ray in your auric field is being charged with massive revitalization. Last, draw solar power into your piece of amber. Hold it there until the crystal feels totally charged. Give thanks and acknowledgment to the sun’s life force. Anytime you feel your energy dip back into negative territory, repeat this exercise. Place your amber anyplace where your energy is prone to sag. It will charge the atmosphere with optimism and power.

AFFIRMATION

I am pure, radiant Light.

Welcome one and welcome all to this newsletter community.  I am grateful to the steady stream of new readers, likely coming from the Youtube channel I started about 18 months ago.  But I want to post a special note to those of you who have been loyal readers since the very first edition, way back in June of 2009.  You are the best!  I appreciate your presence more than words can say.  To thank everyone and to celebrate seven years of publication, I am including this exclusive offer.  From now through June 30, 2016, I will add 7 free minutes to any reading package (one per customer).  Through all of life's changes, the heavens continue to unite us.  Thank you so much.  Come have a reading!

The grand mutable cross begins to dissolve when the Sun enters the sign of Cancer on Summer Solstice.  The initiating energy of emotional Cancer connects with both planets in fellow water signs and those in instigating cardinal signs.  Like the Gemini cycle before it, this one leads up to an impactful full moon, this one on July 19th, when Mercury and Venus will then be part of a grand fire trine.  In this video companion to the newsletter, I describe the 2016 Sun through Cancer cycle.  You enjoy this, and I will go see my hairdresser!

In Closing
I want to let you all know that Amma, the Hugging Saint and sponsor of many charities and good works throughout the world is back in North America for a limited time.  If you feel guided to see her in person or to support any of her many worthy endeavors, you can find her and her schedule here.  Thank you to all in Amma's community for your generosity of spirit.

Happy Birthday moon children!  In closing, I want to thank you all again for your subscriptions.  Here in Austin, Texas, It's nice and warm at night, so I am star gazing to see the planets in person.  In musical news, this past month I got to meet and learn from a master songwriter.  I hope to share more about him with you in future editions.  Suffice it to say that I'm getting my feet wet here, and thanks to Venus in Gemini, meeting and mingling with local musicians and writers.  I'll see you all when the Sun heads into lively Leo.  Be well, be safe and most of all, be happy!

With love always,

Elizabeth
