So, how is your 2019 going so far?
This month has been very special for me, as I have gotten to reconnect with others and with myself. I have been getting calls from relatives near and far that I have been out of touch with for more than 30 years!
It feels so good hearing their voices and reconnecting again. Memories have come rushing back, filling the whole body with joy and happiness. Feeling those memories takes me back to when I was younger. It helps me reconnect with myself – how I was like back then.
I call this process of reconnecting with others and with yourself as love bonding.
Has this ever happened to you? If yes, you may know the feeling.
This month, I would like to write about love bonding not only with your loved ones (family and friends), but also about the loving and bonding with your own self – your own inner child.
How much time are you giving yourself daily?
5 minutes, 10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes? More or less?
I invite you to take a deep breath, to smile, and to meditate on this. The amount of time that you give to yourself is all about good, better, and best.
Giving yourself 5 minutes of me-time is good, more time is better, and even more time is best. So try your BEST for self-love and care.
Here are a few suggestions:
- Upon waking up, SMILE; thank the Universe that you are smiling.
- Then FOCUS on ONLY ONE thing you would like to accomplish today.
- After you accomplish that, then focus on the next ONE thing.
- Slowly move forward on your list.
- In your list, place fun activities such as listening to music or going outside for a walk.
You can make this list by picking a day in the week when you are relaxed and have some free time. Look at nature (flowers, water, light around you) and then write your list.
Make the goals realistic; be kind and gentle with yourself. Always remember everything in life happens at the right time, at the right place and with the right people.
