Encountering Resistance? Struggling?
Published: Fri, 10/17/14
Think about it:
We typically encounter resistance when we
start moving forward in anything.
It checks us, tests us and makes us prove
that we are serious, and are actually
committed to our path.
It makes us show that we deserve to be
operating in that new space or place. Most
(who are just "trying it out," "dipping their
toe in the water," or sampling a new
endeavor) typically give up easily and don't
continue. They demonstrate a lack of
commitment, and resolve... and weed
themselves out by throwing in the towel
and giving up -- quitting.
We can become greater and stronger as
we grow and become more through the
challenges and the struggles that are
necessary to achieve.
It's part of our mindset and attitude, all
a result of our thinking and what we believe
about ourselves, what we're involved with,
and our ingrained paradigms (patterns or
ways of thinking.)
- Like focusing on limitations vs. possibilities
- Like being habitually negative vs. positive
- Like taking responsibility for our actions
vs. blaming it on some outside force (economy,
government, bad family/genes, education, etc.)
- Like "this is all I can ever be or have" vs.
"there's so much more I can be and have!"
- Like being in "status quo" comfort zone, in
coasting mode vs. always stretching and
growing yourself to become more
- Like always playing it safe vs. taking risks
- Like going minimum (small) vs. being all
you can be (maximum) (BIG)
- Like only looking, but never leaping
(procrastinating vs. taking action; habitual
indecision vs. decision)
- Like watching life go by, versus LIVING YOUR DESIRED LIFE
- Like spending most of the time in front of
the television, vs. living life and building your
future
Think about this and how it applies to
all the different aspects of life:
- Spiritual
- Relationships (spouse, family, friends)
- Business
- Financial
Until recently, I really didn't get most of this.
I did not recognize that it was my own thinking
that was holding me back.
I did not realize what I didn't know... or see.
People who are going somewhere in life compare
their thinking with others who are successful
in the the areas they want to improve, and
then change and evolve their thinking.
Want to improve in some areas? Get around
those who demonstrate what you want.
Modeling the thinking of millionaires will
expand/enlarge/elevate things, especially in
the financial area.
At any time, you can make a decision to
change your life to the way you want it.
You have the power!
Lock arms with leaders who are living the
way you want to live, and embrace the process
of change. There is power in unity of purpose.
Accept the resistance and struggle as part of
the normal growth process, instead of trying
to avoid it.
I've found that there's a better way...
What do you think?
