EVOLVE 
INCLEMENT WEATHER
POLICY
 

As colder weather moves into the area
with the potential of precipitation this
morning and then more accumulation
overnight, we would like to remind
each of you about our Evolve Academy
Inclement Weather Policy.  Since we are
located in Montgomery County, we generally
follow Montgomery County Public Schools
as to whether or not we close our academy.

If MCPS closes, all Evolve Academy classes
will be canceled.  If there is a delayed opening,
all morning classes will be canceled,
however all evening classes will be held as
normally scheduled.  If there is an MCPS early
closure, it is more than likely that we will
cancel all evening classes, but there are
times when MCPS jumps the gun and closes
before roads are dangerous to drive.  If this
happens, we will assess road conditions and
then make a decision by 3:30pm as to whether
or not we will be open for all classes.



Normally MCPS does not announce most
closures on weekends unless there are
special programs scheduled.  In the event
of inclement weather on the weekend, we
will closely watch the road conditions and
weather patterns in order to determine
whether or not we will be having classes
or whether or not we will hold a modified
schedule that day.  This will be announced
by 8am on Saturday mornings.

Additionally, we often times provide
Open Mat training if the weather clears in time to
allow for safe travel to our academy.  Please keep
an eye out for updated emails, Facebook
posts and phone recordings on our main line
(301-908-3700) for all updated information
in regards to training schedules and closures.

PROMOTIONS
THIS SATURDAY!

Please join us on Saturday, January 20th
(immediately following our regular children's 
BJJ class) as we acknowledge the hard work
of (4) of our young adult students! Kayla,
Brandon, Jeffrey and Rachelle have been 
working hard, have studied the curriculum,
and are ready to showcase their efforts:)

Please note that the adult PDS class normally
scheduled for 10 AM will still be held as
regularly scheduled, however it may begin a
few minutes late.  Thank you for understanding!
