Hi,
Just about 12 weeks Out date for Fitness Atlantic!
Twelve weeks out is usually when people start being
strict on a meal plan and getting weekly check-ins with a trainer or coach. For the most part there is really no need to start way out - typically most people could get ready for a show in 12 weeks.
So if you started any earlier you are already ahead of the game!
And that is a good
thing.
First thing would normally be to enter the show.
If you don't enter it leaves to many undecided questions and you likely question yourself with questions like: "Will I be ready?" which leads doubting yourself.
Honestly almost everyone feels like they are not ready right up to the show and during.
Feeling you will win and feeling super confident usually isn't going though many if any people's heads. Plus you never know who will show up. That's the stuff that makes people mentally flip out - so try not to worry about anyone else and focus on yourself.
You know what you could accomplish in twelve weeks? It's pretty crazy. A
LOT!
Whatever you are doing to prepare should be progressive.
Each week you get better.
It only takes small weekly
changes.
So number one is enter and get all doubts out of your head.
Heck, go ahead get one of the Athlete Banners for your profile picture and tell the world you are IN!
I'm IN and DON'T let people talk you out of it because they will try.
You know why people want to talk you out of entering?
Because getting in shape is hard for other people and
you know why that is...
Because they refuse to follow any plan. So they tell you it's "too restrictive" and even "unhealthy" plus all the other things they say so YOU FAIL and them being out of shape and lazy is now justified for them.
How does that help you. Stay the course
and don't get talked out if it.
#2 Get some tickets,
I would tell some friends and family to get some tickets.
Tell them this show sold out last year (which it really did) and if they want to go to get the
best tickets now.
Here is the deal - If your family is going to buy tickets do you think you will back out of the show yourself?
I don't think so?
You know you won't let them down.
If you haven't entered and nobody you know has tickets how committed are you really?
Not much.
Right now you just might have a toe in the water and haven't jumped fully in.
The
determination of entering and not letting friends and family down is so motivating!
Next down the line is easy because it is only deposits.
#3. Make a hotel reservation should be easy.
Mohegan Sun is not a cheap hotel but we have a hotel discount only until 30 days out then it is gone. I just looked at the link and a double room with two beds - share rooms and split that cost. If you wait too long all the room block specials will be gone then you have to scramble.
#4 and #5. Then you have deposits for Tanning and Hair and Make up:
The only expense right now is Entry Fee.
Plan the others over time.
Stay the Course,
Brian Cannone
