Reduce Risk with More Supervisor Referrals to your EAP in 2022 (Learn more)
Over the past year, we've seen and heard about many incidents of workplace violence. Some of these tragedies make the news, but many do not.
National news is reserved for larger incidents, while many smaller but deadly workplace violence incidents get less attention.
Did you hear about the man that was shot and killed by a co-worker on his first day of work at a steel tube manufacturing facility in Pinson, Alabama a few weeks ago? Probably not.
Many of these companies with violent incidents have troubled workers who might have been referred by a supervisor if a really solid means of educating managers and encouraging formal supervisor referrals to the EAP was in place. Don't you agree?
I can't prove it, but I believe the increase in workplace violence arguably parallels the loss of solid, high-touch, embedded, and core-technology driven EAPs that no longer offer aggressive supervisor training.
If you don't currently subscribe to Frontline Supervisor EAP Newsletter, are you increasing the likelihood of greater loss?
