I love going to the beach!
I love the
sunshine, the sand, the water, the seagulls.... it all makes me feel so good.
And I also love the 'grounding' the beach provides.
Are you familiar with the term grounding... or earthing?
It has to do with sense of stability and well-being that comes when your body has a direct connection with the ground.
When I first heard about grounding, I was skeptical.
But there's actually a scientific reason why grounding can support your well-being.
It has to do
with the way the process of grounding allows free electrons to be taken up by the body, leading to greater vitality.
There are also many anecdotes about grounding as well.
Most of the experiences I've heard have to do with people who find that grounding helps them sleep better.
While the sand and water of the beach are great for grounding, there are other ways you can get similar benefits.
Just going barefoot for a time outside can help you experience the benefits of
grounding.
And there are also grounding mats and sheets available for indoor use.
And... many are not aware that essential oils can provide a grounding experience that's fast and convenient.
The 'tree oils' in particular can be helpful in this area.
This would include essential oils like black spruce, frankincense, yang ylang and cedarwood... to name a few.
I also have an essential oil blend that I enjoy using for grounding.
All it takes is applying a
drop or two of an essential oil to the bottom of each foot.
It can be a great way to gain a sense of stability and balance when starting your day.
...This is especially true if you're facing emotional challenges that seek to pull you away from the reality of a situation.
And it doesn't require you going to the beach!
