DJ Urszula Abolik d/b/a DJ Mayok is back from her trips and brings her best selections of music to keep you on the dance floor all night. In keeping up with some of her travels she brings music and probably a little spice to celebrate "Cinco de Mayo." It is always a pleasure to have her rejoin us.
I hire the best talent in the community to entertain you every Thursday night!
SPECIAL TREAT:
CARLOS HABIAGUE sang and danced with us in an exclusive performance only for us at Terri's Firehouse Tango-Milonga II.
He told me he heard a lot about us during his US tour and was looking forward to meeting us. So I managed to book him for this one- time exclusive event as the cap to his US tour and just before he flies to Germany to begin his European tour.
We hope to have him back soon and wish him a safe journey.

He is the dazzling figure who, with his renowned charisma and his light lyric voice, captivates the audience on every stage. He takes women out to dance while he is singing."
Our delightful ladies at Terri's FHT Milonga deserved to be swooned. He serenaded us long into the night, while dancing with all the ladies in the house.
We enjoyed all this talent and entertainment without a moments disruption to our dance time. He was awesome.
We danced to the amazing sounds of my Guest Instructor / DJ Carlos Urrego. Additionally, he played his finest selections of traditional tango, Vals, milongas and fun Cortinas that simply set the dance floor on fire.
DJ Carlos Urrego also guided the group lesson masterfully. DJ Carlos played the music that accompanied the velvety voice of Carlos Habiague during this segment of our program. This combination of great talent all under one tango roof. Bravo Carlos Urrego and Carlos Habiague!

Tell ya what, no where else but here would you get a fantastic singer to serenade and dance with all the ladies too. Also, enjoy an amazing DJ and masterful Tango Instructor rolled into one. We have talent, entertainment and the best Milongueros in the community all under one roof every Thursday night!
Imitation is the fondest form of flattery BUT there is only ONE authentic Terri's Firehouse Tango Milonga at 105 Grove Ave. in Maywood, NJ. Anything else is simply fugazy -"fuggedabotit"!
Terri's Firehouse Tango-Milonga II continues to be the highest standard of etiquette and all things that celebrate our passion for traditional Argentine tango.
Our secret sauce is we create good vibes here that is just no where else to be found. Tango enthusiast meet other classy, chill people and share a fun time together making another treasured memorable tango experience. Shhhhh!

Everyone feels welcome and completely at home together with us. We are the friendliest Milonga in town thanks to all of you. Thursday nights - just do it, you'll love it.
BRAGGING RIGHTS - After this horrific pandemic hit our community, I was the only Milonga to follow all the rules but still maintained a safe haven for all of us to enjoy life.
I was the only Milonga to install two top of the line certified HEPA air sanitizers for our safety and comfort.*
No matter how few dancers ventured out to socialize, I kept the doors open even while operating in the red because the spirit of Tango is defiant and unconquerable. Someone had to keep that spirit alive.
The challenges we faced together threatened the livelihoods of too many professional Instructors and DJs, who may not have otherwise survived, but they found steady employment here with us throughout this awful situation. We're still standing.
Now that the worst has passed and we resume some sense of normalcy, I invite everyone of you that were hesitant to come out to return here with us at Terri's Firehouse Tango Milonga. Enjoy life.

*** With your comfort in consideration - I have added *two HEPA approved AIR PURIFIERS that utilize multi-level UV airborne particle technology filters used in airplanes, hospitals and military facilities. These two units will cover the entire venue! ***
They are capable of completely cleaning a room of over 1350 square ft. and way over 600 cubic feet per hour! It is provided to us courtesy of AMI GLOBAL SECURITY, LLC [my son Tony gifted it to us for our safety or else now I can come out and play.. Thank you Tony]

Meet the mighty Tibor. He is not only a suave greeter but his door management and traffic flow is what makes every minute count for your fun and Tango time.
He also takes all the videos of the Group Class, after lesson demonstration for our Milongueros and Milongueras to enjoy afterwards.
Tibor trouble shoots if we have technical difficulties. He represents management and maintains policy. Tibor is the name, Tango is the game!

Our variety Cortinas by our DJs.
We add adobo and sofrito to spice up our Cortinas. Our Cortinas are a delicious mix of Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Cumbia and social style dance that simply keep up the mood with "sabor" [flavor]. Yet, we consistently remain loyal to our roots.
Remember and Remember -- here is where we always keep the traditional Argentine Tango alive!

Tango is not only about learning steps, but understanding and listening to the music.
Each artist interprets the same music /song that you dance to, but the musical styles are different.
Your ear, needs to listen so that you can dance to each interpretation from those artists elegantly.
It is written all over the place that the best way to improve your dancing is to know the music you are dancing to as your body moves with the different styles, so that you may look and be lead gracefully on the dance floor.

INSTRUCTORS REPORT:
I offer everyone top shelf master instructors that lead by example, coach you, improve your self confidence, and sharpen the skills you've already learned. Our seasoned dancers and our new comers feel at ease. No fear. We all learn from each other. We all coach each other. We all enjoy each other like no place else.
Where ever you go to dance your own unique style will be evident and noticed.
Naturally, every instructor has their own style and methodologies. What works and what sticks with you is all that counts.

It has become quite evident that no matter where our Milongueros and Milongueras go to dance, their style and versatility are immediately recognizable as "you must be from Terri's Firehouse Tango-Milonga II!"
Every seasoned Tangueros feel right at home here because you are always welcome. So continue to come by and join us for the fun of it.
Everyone benefits from the lessons and we all enjoy the exchanges of style, variety and comportment towards one another.
Thursday nights with us are the Tango kick-off so come on over. This is the place for all Tangueros from everywhere to Tango. If you can only Tango one night a week, Thursday nights with us is the place you want to be.
Fun is the operative word. We are not only a showcase for the Tango Community, but the place to go and simply have fun, enjoy really good people and dance like you just don't care!
