How to handle stage fright on your wedding day

Published: Mon, 11/03/14

Some of my brides have shared their anxious thoughts about being the center of attention as they walk down the aisle so I reached out to a true planning expert, Belinda Norris of Belinda Norris Events.

Belinda  pointed out that it’s not only brides who experience this kind of performance anxiety. Grooms experience it as well. Her advice about how to handle those nerves is insightful and straightforward.

Read her suggestions here!

I recently read "Quiet" by Susan Cain which is all about the power of introverts vs. gregarious extroverts and there is no question that introverts will have a slightly tougher time with the "all eyes on me" moments of the big day.

Susan writes in the conclusion of her book, "Love is essential; gregariousness is optional." These words resonate for me.

Whether you fall clearly on the extroverted or introverted side the truth is we all have a little bit of both in us...perhaps your "shy" side will show itself as you're about to walk down the aisle?

I hope you find these suggestions helpful and if you do, please share with a friend!

With love from me to you,

Alison
