What's new?
So, the son's girlfriend got Covid the week between Christmas and new years. She tested positive on the Thursday but was negative by the following Tuesday. My son never got it! (Both are fully vaccinated). However, I made lots of soups for them and provided a pantry's worth of vitamins!
My new computer finally came in... now it's a matter of getting everything operational on the new laptop! I hate this part! New wifi router also... which died on Friday. Thank goodness Walmart is open late... so a new one of those was installed too!
It's been -30C for about 3 weeks in a row now. However, we get above freezing next week! That will feel great!
The clinic is busy, and we've got two of our assistants out of commission. Thankfully we have some wonderful part-timers willing and able to come in to cover some extra shifts, and a former employee that could come in to help out as well. So, really, we are quite blessed, I'd have to say!
Oh, but my gym closed down! They must have done a move in the night. There was a note on the door when I went in last Monday to resume my exercise regimen. I later found an email in my junk folder alerting me to the fact that they simply didn't survive Covid... never recovered from the shut downs and didn't qualify for any aid. So, I'm down in my basement using my own equipment... it's harder to be motivated! We'll see how I do with that!
So, that's it for the updates... On with the show!!

University of Helsinki has come up with some more unique and useful research again! This time a doctoral student has researched dogs and behavioural factors that appear to mimic human ADHD.
From the paper, “Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder impairing the quality of life of the affected individuals. The domestic dog can spontaneously manifest high hyperactivity/impulsivity and inattention which are components of human ADHD. Therefore, a better understanding of demographic, environmental and behavioural factors influencing canine hyperactivity/impulsivity and
inattention could benefit both humans and dogs."
The research group collected data on more than 11,000 dogs by using a behaviour survey based on a human survey for ADHD. It measured aspects of hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention.
What did they find?

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc,
etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the
Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!

Have a great week everyone!
Until next time... Cheers!
