What's new?
Well, we've been having some lovely weather. It was 8 degrees Celcius on Saturday, and in true Canadian form, I did actually have one client come in wearing shorts! Very Canadian after a severe cold snap!
My chickens are happier too! They've been allowed outside again and low and behold, I'm getting eggs again! One of my 'winter projects' is to try to organize my house. It's far too cluttered since moving all of the cottage contents into my basement (since renting it out in November), and one of the boys old bedrooms upstairs needs to be taken back. So... that's on the docket! Somehow try to reorganize everything, so I don't have
mattresses standing on end in the hallway in my basement, and a storage room and former bedroom, loaded up with paraphernalia! Fingers crossed I will get little bits of time to sort it all out!
So, that's it for the updates... On with the show!!

Preventing Spondylosis in Boxers –
Mind Blowing Knowledge Nugget!
|
|
I belong to a small group of experts in the field of veterinary manual therapy. We try to meet twice a month to discuss research, findings, thoughts, and how to advance the understanding of and acceptance of manual therapy in animal healthcare. We’ve had some great discussions and presentations.
One such presentation was by an author of the following paper:
Halle KS, Granhus A. Veterinary Chiropractic Treatment as a Measure to Prevent the Occurrence of Spondylosis in Boxers. Vet Sci. 2021 Sep 17;8(9):199.
I was delighted to not only be directed to this paper, but also to hear it presented first hand by the lead author. Okay… let’s dive in!

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc,
etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the
Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!
