What's new?
Well, everything is still busy, and thinking about Christmas and just makes everything busier! Canadians are allowed to start thinking about Christmas after Remembrance Day. However, for our American friends, I'll send you all a Happy Thanksgiving for your big holiday coming up this week!
On the home front, hubby is still dealing with shingles pain. No more scabs or oozing, but just the pain. The youngest son got a new horse (picture below). He's a 3-year-old unbroken colt that came off of the neighbouring Stoney Nakoda First Nation reservation... which is no doubt why he is such a stunning horse. Does my son know anything about breaking a colt? No! Good thing his mom is a physiotherapist and he's 22 and
invincible!
So, that's it for the updates... !! On with the show...

BLOG:
Physiotherapy is a Profession, Not a Treatment Technique
|
|
This article came to light when I was scrolling through Facebook. A physio colleague in the UK had posted it. I was immediately drawn to the title because it pretty much sums up what many of us have been saying for years… and I wish that more people understood the sentiment!
The article is actually and editorial piece. However, if you know anything about these two editors, you will understand that when they have something to say, it will be brilliant indeed!
I’ll attempt to paraphrase the main points of the article.

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc,
etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the
Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!
