Let's get on with the show! Got a Question? Need Answers? Need Ideas?
WELL LOOK NO FURTHER! See what the Four Leg LIBRARY of content has to offer! Or jump onto the FORUM and ask your questions... Not on the Forum yet? Go and register! Not a member yet? Why not?! Affordable & Expansive Learning to be had! What's new? Today, as I type this up, it's 'Superbowl Sunday' - (American Football league final playoff game). So, I'm trying to get this all done before my boys come down to watch football and eat all of my food! To be honest, I think Canadian football is way more fun to watch, with only 3 downs to move the ball 10 yards,
our players take more chances on those first two plays, whereas the American teams tend to push for 2 yards, push for 3 yards, push for another 3 yards... BORING! Sorry to my US friends... but, just calling it like I see it! And to everyone else, not on the North American content, I'm sure it's ALL boring!
Otherwise, I am doing T4's for the ranch, filling out the WBC year end report for the ranch, figuring out beef sales for
the ranch... all stuff that has been dumped in my lap, that I am not particularly passionate about (other than our beef tastes better than anything in the store!). So, I guess I should get dressed for the day and get on with it all!
OOOhhhm and I have PART 2 of the GUEST blog by my friend Dr. David Lane! Continue reading to learn more about the puzzling case from last week's blog! So, That's it for the updates... On with the show!!

Four Leg GUEST BLOG: Iliopsoas? Nope!
|
|
Courtesy of Dr. David Lane, DVM, DACVSMR, CCRT of https://www.pointseastwest.com/ in British Columbia, Canada.
Part 1 of this blog introduced you to 12kg 7yo FS mixed breed patient who presented as a pretty typical iliopsoas tendinopathy – consistent pain on iliopsoas tendon palpation, a reluctance to move, and a clear iliopsoas core lesion evident on ultrasound. However, in the process of collecting our radiographic data, two
things popped out at us. The first was that there was bilateral increased joint fluid evident in both stifles, yet there were no physical examination findings suggestive of cruciate disease or osteoarthritis. The second finding was that despite normal appearing hips on radiographs – with full recognition that the hip extended VD image is a poor screening test for hip dysplasia – on ultrasound, we found evidence of unilateral coxofemoral effusion.
When I hear a reported history of reluctance to move or “shutting down” on walks, back pain leaps to the top of my rule-out list. Second on that list is severe OA (which we don’t have in this case), and third on that list is immune mediated polyarthritis (IMPA). If this was an growing puppy,
then panosteitis or hypertrophic osteodystrophy would be on the list as well. Continue reading - click below...

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform.
You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc, etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN
GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!

Have a great week everyone!
Until next time... Cheers!
