WELL LOOK NO FURTHER! See what the Four Leg LIBRARY of content has to offer! Or jump onto the FORUM and ask your questions... Not on the Forum yet? Go and register! Not a member yet? Why not?! Affordable & Expansive Learning to be had! What's new?GOSH! (or a stronger expletive - still!) My website is now up and the SSL (security certificate) has been successfully installed. That has taken a full week to sort out! However, my emails are still down. All of my [email protected] emails are unavailable to me. They are within
microsoft, and were set up by the previous domain host, so when we switched over to a new domain host... I was no longer able to access them. Furthermore, the person at the previous hosting company who set them up and who was 'on record' as admin of my accounts left years prior - so the emails requesting that the admin be switch over to me weren't going to anyone! So... here I am on day 7 of having no emails. I'm working with microsoft to get admin access over my own accounts!!!
So, if you need to get a hold of me (for an emergency or something really important), then please email me at [email protected]. Gosh I hope the week ahead goes better!So... That's it for the updates... On with the show!!

FOUR LEG BLOG Mice, Tendinopathy, and Which Kind of Exercise is Best?
|
|
I read a very interesting paper recently: Fast, non-eccentrically loaded exercise worsens tendinopathic healing responses in a murine
model Okay, so the whole title gives away the final summation, but bear with me, as it’s interesting never the less! The Gist of the Study “Given that few
therapeutic interventions have proven superior to controlled exercise alone in the treatment of Achilles tendinopathy, the objective of this study was to advance the understanding of how alterations of speed and grade (flat vs incline vs decline) of exercise-based rehabilitation affect the quality of tendon healing.” Simplified Methodology A study took 35 mice, pre-conditioned them to running on a treadmill, and then induced a tendinopathy lesion in their Achilles tendon via a double injection of stuff that makes tendons unhappy (TGF Beta1). The researchers then divided them into 7 intervention groups consisting of various speeds and angles of treadmill running, as well as one control group!

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform.
You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc, etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN
GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!

Have a great week everyone!
Until next time... Cheers!
