What's new?
Well, hubby and I got away for a holiday - out to BC to visit family and spend some time kayaking, hiking, and visiting. It was nice... but I am paying for it now. I am so behind. It makes me wonder if vacations are even worth it!?! It is also part of the inspiration behind this week's blog.
Both the Blog and the Rehab Minute are about helping YOU as a human being dealing with all that you do and the toll that it takes on you. I hope you find them useful!
So, that's it for the updates... On with the show!!

Four Leg BLOG:
LEAN IN – MY CURRENT COPING STRATEGY FOR THIS STAGE OF THE PANDEMIC AND LIFE
|
|
When trying to come up with blog topics, I usually have a process. I look at my curated list of biweekly blogs or my monthly list of journal articles. If something catches my eye there, then you get something inspired from one of them. I also think about my past week and what patients I’ve seen and conversations I’ve had. If something came up that was quite poignant, then you get something inspired from
that. The past two weeks have been busy in different ways for me, and I’ve decided to use that as my topic for this week’s blog. Here goes.
As this pandemic has continued on (and on, and on, and on), I’ve had a sensation that I just want to slow down. Put on the brakes. Stay still for a little while. For myself and many of you in animal health profession, we didn’t get a break. We didn’t sit at home for months. We never experienced the ‘joys’ of working from home. We were busy and we just got busier.
During the last year and a half its felt like I am being pushed forwards but my brakes are on… and it’s starting to damage the rubber on my tires!!!

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc,
etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the
Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!

Have a great week everyone!
Until next time... Cheers!
