Hey there,
Yesterday my sister and I took Mom to an appointment with a podiatrist. She's been having a few problems with her feet that we wanted addressed. Fortunately the doctor's office is very close to the facility where she lives, so it wasn't a major disruption for her, although at this stage anything out of the norm causes confusion and anxiety. Actually even
anything within the realm of her day to day causes confusion and anxiety, so disruptions are just even more so.
We both went to the appointment, because we knew there was potential for problems and it's always better to have backup.
Overall, Mom was having a good day, but it was still best that there were two of us. There's just no real way for one person to manage both Mom and the paperwork that needs to be filled out at a doctor's office. In the end, it was a satisfactory but exhausting day.
