Hello and Happy New Year! We’re in a nice cycle for slowing down, reflecting on the past year and planning ahead for 2023. Consider what you want to be different about yourself, your home, and your workspace. What would you like to omit, do less of, or leave behind? What would you like more of? Susannah Conway’s annual planning guide is a wonderful resource for this process. Here’s a link. It’s meant to be done, at a leisurely pace, over five days. The first few weeks of this month are meant for slowing down, reflecting and planning. The time to move forward
is late January and early February. When you’re in alignment with the cycles, you’ll have fewer obstacles and more success. The year of the Rabbit begins January 22. Rabbit energy is about gentleness, kindness, and decency.
Maybe we’ll experience a pleasant shift this year. People born in a Rabbit year are known for being kind, generous, modest, easy-going, polite, patient, and honest. Additional traits include keeping their promises, being honest, and frank. They are also skilled handling relationships. On the downside they can be overcautious, nervous, timid, and hesitant. This is a good month to reflect on how to create the best version of yourself and put plans in place to make that happen this year. Year of the Rabbit Begins Jan 22, 2023

Chinese Lunar New Year is early this year. The year of the yin Water Rabbit begins on Sunday, January 22. The Lunar New Year is a time of festivities, holiday and family travels, and parades. The date varies. It’s always the second new moon after the winter solstice. It ends on February 9th 2024. February 4, the solar new year, is the
day to make the annual changes in your home. The Rabbit is the fourth animal in the Chinese zodiac, and it is compatible with the Sheep and the Pig. The Dog is a friend as well. The Rabbit clashes with the Rooster, thus 2023 can be a challenging year for people born in Rooster years. People born in Dragon and Rat years may experience more challenges this year as well.

We begin 2023 with both Mars and Mercury in retrograde cycles. Mars has been retrograde since October 30 and continues through January 12th. This is the best time to write your plan for the next two years. It hasn’t been the time to begin new projects or initiatives because complete details and information haven’t been in place. You might find yourself
considering various possibilities and options. Be OK with this. You’ll be in a stronger position to know what you want later in January and in early February. |
