Our focus for our meeting tomorrow is on core practices for the path of awakening in everyday life. Practices help us to integrate our deep love for freedom into the moments of our actual human lives and give us tools to rely on when strong conditioned patterns take hold.

Do you want the possibility of freedom to be your living reality? Then practice living it now with whatever appears. Let every single part of your experience come into the light of awareness, leaving no stone unturned. That’s how the hidden beliefs at the root of the sense of separation (such as, “I am inadequate”) are finally seen as the made-up stories that they are.
Here are the five core practices I introduced in my book, Suffering Is Optional. They are:
- Turning toward your experience;
- The safe haven of being aware;
- Losing interest
in thoughts;
- Welcoming feelings; and
- The sacred return to loving aware presence.
These practices are like breadcrumbs on the spiritual path to support you in finding your way back from
the illusion of reality created by your thoughts to the realization of the truth of your essential self. They’re not things you do to reach a goal. Rather, they guide you to ultimately realize that the practice and the knowing of freedom are one and the same.
Do any of these practices with not a sliver of resistance, and you’ll discover that who you are has
always been whole, fully alive, and overflowing as love…
In our time together, we’ll unpack these five practices so they feel accessible to all. Through guided meditation, practical guidance, and heartfelt conversation, we’ll open to all that is with compassion and love as we find our way home.
Come with your fears, doubts, shame, and questions—and simply to share sacred space together in community with like-minded friends.
Together, we lovingly embrace our humanness as we expand into appreciation, vibrant joy, and deep connection with all of Life.
