Greetings From Gibson Pewter
Spring has finally arrived, but the deep piles of snow on both sides of the barn are a vivid reminder that Old Man Winter likes Washington, NH!
In spite of the snow and cold temperatures, I had a productive winter in the pewter shop, and have added four new designs to the product line. Thus far, all are proving to be popular!
Sled Ornament
The first project I design each January is the Annual Ornament. For 2019, I've created a wonderful, old fashioned Sled Ornament like those made in the late 1870's. Customers who have seen it in person love it, and I think you will too. Order yours today!
Heart Ornament
I decided to create a second ornament this year. The Heart Ornament is a simple, straightforward design which reflects the universal symbol for love. You could hang this ornament year round. And don't forget Mother's Day!
Cowlishaw Pint Mug
The Cowlishaw Pint Mug is named after a late 19th century Boston pewterer, Walter I. Cowlishaw. The handle for this mug is hollow cast in Cowlishaw's original bronze mold which I now own. The handle has wonderful lines and feels great in the hand.
Tulip Snifter
Santa brought me a very nice old, single malt scotch this year. Naturally, I set out to design a worthy vessel.
I've taken the best elements of the finest Whisky glasses and created a unique pewter design, the Tulip Snifter. Early reports from patrons who have already purchased the Tulip Snifter all offer an enthusiastic two thumbs up! Try one with your favorite spirit. Cheers!
Gallery Space
Once I am back out in the barn, sometime in May, Camille plans to expand her wonderful art work into the gallery together with artwork and fine craft from several other talented local friends of ours. Stay tuned!
We hope you can plan a visit this Spring! If you are not able to come to Washington, remember, you can visit our website anytime!
Our best wishes,
Jon, Camille, Emily & Lily Gibson
