I had just stepped into the line at the post office (several packages balanced in my arms)
literally a minute before they closed.
What luck!
A minute after that, a guy stepped in line behind me. The post office employee told him they were closed and not taking any more
customers.
The guy shouted back, "Story of my life!"
When things go bad for that guy, he doesn't learn from it or brush it off, he declares it as his life
story.
Want to be luckier? Change your "unlucky" mindset.
Stop looking for the times you aren't lucky and focus on when you are by being grateful.
When you don't catch a break? Don't play the victim. Victims
don't look for luck. They look for the stuff that's going wrong and that is a fast way to get even unluckier. They say things like, "Just my luck!"
Capitalize on your good luck. Don't slow down or get lazy when things are good. Get creative when obstacles arise ("bad luck") and keep moving forward.
Getting a lot of NOs in a row might even feel like a run of bad luck but it's all in how you choose to look at it.
Go for No! Recommends...
Something a little different that will NOT be for most of
you. For a few others, you may really, really need this. (Or, you know someone who does.)
