“I can usually tell in the first five minutes if someone is going to say ‘yes’ or ‘no.’”
How would
you answer this? 🤔
Most True for you? Or Less True for you?
This is one of the questions that we're working on as we enhance the Go for No! Quiz on our website. 📝
It's a bit of a "trick" question. 😜
When I first started out, for me the answer was absolutely true! I was so good, I knew exactly what my customers would do, or so I thought.
However, from a Go for No perspective, consider this:
If you answered “Most True” you may have spent a long time in your role, so you’ve gotten good at reading people. (That was me.) It can come in handy. However, in our “go for no” world, we want to avoid always making
assumptions.
Often people will decide in advance what a customer or prospect will or won’t do and then they will shut the sale down or move on. This can lead to missed sales and revenue.
If you answered “Less True” it
indicates you are more willing to tap into your curiosity instead of making assumptions about what someone will decide or say.
People with a high NO-Quotient never prejudge what someone is going to say to them and would rather ask and get a no.
Something to think about.
