A bit of personal news. Richard and I recently celebrated our 25th anniversary in Madrid, Spain. 🥂
We've technically had our business together for over 26 years!Â
It's a miracle to think we started our journey without wi-fi or smart phones... plus no Paypal, Stripe, or Venmo (we had to "apply" to accept payments and it was a huge deal). No Twitter or Facebook, no Google or YouTube, no Zoom, no Amazon! But we did have
a fax machine and an AOL e-mail address for 3 years. 🤣Â
How have we managed to be married and work side by side all this time?Â
I wrote about our top five biggest learnings working together
after all these years. If you're curious to read it, you can find the post here on LinkedIn.

Don't Let a Big Rejection Deter You Â
by Andrea Waltz & Richard

When we first published 'Go for No' we sent out several hundred review copies to corporate executives.Â
One very large, very recognizable and successful direct selling company actually sent us a letter explaining that they appreciated us thinking of them but our book and concept was definitely not for them (and never would be).
Do you know how much someone has to dislike something to take the time to send a rejection letter? 🤣
Briefly shaken, mildly amused and also surprised at the effort they put in sending us this letter (we never asked anyone to reply) we ignored that big 'NO.' I wish we were smart enough to save it. Â
However, years later, we've gotten plenty of testimonials from people within that company who have been positively impacted by our book and training. 😜
When we got that letter, we could have decided that no direct selling company would ever want our book. And it was so early on, part of us
wondered. But we put our heads down, said, "that's interesting" and moved forward, undeterred.
It's normal to feel hesitant about signing up for a
challenge. Many people tell me they kept seeing the email reminders and then finally gave in and decided they needed to do it. You'll never know what you're capable of unless you try. Regretting not taking action is often far worse than the fear of failure. Â
"I still get rejections - frequently - and my goal isn't to never fail, to never be turned down, but simply to succeed more often than I don't. And in order to do that, I have to
constantly put myself out there, to judgment, critique, and rejection."Â - V. E. Schwab, author
