What Causes Cannabis Leaves to Get Dry or Crispy? |

There are many reasons that the leaves of your marijuana plant can get dry or crispy. Sometimes crispy leaves can be normal, but most of the time, this means that something is wrong with your cannabis plant or the growing environment. If you’re seeing symptoms spreading through your marijuana plant, you need to react quickly. For example, this cannabis plant’s crispy, dry leaves with
yellowing, curling, and spots are caused by a mixture of heat and light stress. Simply moving the grow light further away will help keep the dry leaves from spreading. Don’t wait!
Can You Smoke Sugar Leaves? |
Sugar leaves are the small single-finger leaves that grow out of your cannabis buds during the flowering stage. They are called “sugar leaves” because these leaves are often covered in sparkly trichomes which look like a dusting of sugar. |
The “sugar” on sugar leaves is actually THC-filled trichomes. The amount of trichomes on the sugar leaves is related to strain. Some strains don’t produce a lot of trichomes even on buds, while others produce so many they spill onto all of the nearby leaves. Although trichomes are a good thing because they carry cannabinoids like THC, some strains without many trichomes are still very potent because cannabinoids are also contained
in the buds themselves. Sativa and Haze strains in particular often don’t have as many trichomes on the outside as indica-leaning strains, but are still incredibly potent. Although this Lambsbread bud doesn’t have a whole lot of trichomes, it still has extremely powerful effects. Typically, if there are no trichomes on the leaves, they should be trimmed off. When a male plant's pollen sacs first start growing, they look kind of like a bunch of grapes These pollen sacs appear where buds would normally appear, and take several weeks to mature before they open up and spill pollen. However, if you don't want the pollen to seed all your buds (no one wants seedy buds!) it's important to spot and remove male plants from the grow room as soon as possible. If you let pollen sacs develop, they will eventually open up and spill pollen everywhere. |

I try to stick to the scientific method as best I can, and getting an email like this makes it all worth it. ~Nebula This was in response to our request asking what growers think about Seedsman as a cannabis seed source: "Nebula: I just want to let you know about my recent experience with Seedsman. I have been ordering seeds from them for about 10 years. In he past, I actually mailed cash to The Netherlands and the sees would ship from Spain. The whole order would take about 2 months and I never really knew when to expect the
package. "They have been very honest and there was never a problem with cash. I also did bill pay through my bank and that worked well also. Seedsman usually gives me free seeds and often a small gift from Holland. Their customer service was slow, but kind.

I ordered seeds on sale. My credit card was accepted and the seeds were quickly shipped from California with USPS tracking. I paid for 5 Bruce Banner Auto seeds but received 10 (5+5 sale), two free Humboldt seeds and three free Critical 2+ seeds. They also included a pack of extra large rolling papers. The price of seeds through Seedsman is far lower than many sources. I recommend Seedsman and hope you include them on the current list.

I wanted to thank you for your tutorial on flowering stage defoliation. It has made an enormous impact on my harvest.
This was my first attempt: Sour Diesel in soil in a 5 gallon fabric pot. Nutrients were the basic Fox Farms soil nutrient trio at half strength. Grow lights
were 2 Mars Hydro LED. The single plant, fimmed once, pretty much filled the 24” X 24” tent. Flower stage defoliation really works! Don't ignore your first instinct! It may be your intuition trying to tell you something. Someone DMs you with a great offer for seeds, but something is not quite right. You get a weird feeling in your stomach, or a little voice in your head says, "Something is off about this." Don't ignore your gut instincts! If you get a too-good-to-be-true
offer, and your intuition is whispering a warning, it's good to pay attention. Often your subconscious senses things that your brain may not be aware of yet. If something seems off, take time to think about it. Check who you're talking to and if they seem trustworthy. Remember, scammers often try to get you to act immediately. If they're pressuring you to give them money RIGHT NOW or the deal is done, take extra caution. Make sure to watch out for scams, especially seed scams! Remember: Real seed businesses don't contact you. They let you contact them. If anyone messages you to sell you seeds on social media, look out! It's possible they will take your payment and send nothing. Always take a second to think before sending money to anyone, especially if they contact you (whether by DM, text message, phone call, email,
etc.).
