will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it."

How to Grow Organic Weed
the Easy Way! 🌲🧐

|
Is organic growing in your future? Maybe you’re thinking about growing weed for the first time. Perhaps you have a few coco or hydro grows under your belt and
want to try something new. Either way, this tutorial was made just for you!
As more people are legally able to grow cannabis at home, organic grow methods are quickly gaining popularity. Consumers demand better choices. It used to difficult for many people to get organic cannabis (black market weed was rarely grown organically). Now you can
grow your own. In fact, with the right technique, it’s surprisingly easy to grow organic weed at home. In fact, growing organically may actually be easier than other grow methods!
Why grow organic weed using this tutorial?
- Make Soil Do the Work for You – The method in this article creates a soil environment that does most of the work of growing for you, just like in nature.
- Better Taste & Smell – Many growers believe that growing organic weed (properly) creates the best bud taste and most complex bud smell of any grow method. There are also reports that organic weed tends to be smoother to smoke.
- Safer – Organic growing lets you know what’s in your weed. When you’re buying weed from someone else, you have no idea what chemicals or pesticides may have been used during the grow process. Even if you’re growing for yourself, nutrient companies are not legally bound to list all ingredients in their products. That means you may be unknowingly giving your plants unwanted ingredients if you use bottled nutrients or supplements. Even worse, some
nutrient companies have been busted for including illegal compounds (such as synthetic PGRs) that are known to be harmful to humans. Organic grow methods give you confidence that there aren’t potentially dangerous human-made compounds getting deposited into your weed.
- Nutrient Ratios – Never worry about mixing bottles of nutrients to get the perfect nutrient ratio for your plant’s stage of life. If you follow the instructions on this page, your plants won’t get nutrient deficiencies and you won’t need to do anything to prevent them. In fact, this
method lets your roots “pick and choose” which nutrients to uptake, so your plant gets exactly the right nutrients at the right time.
- Easier – This tutorial teaches you how to complete a “just add water” grow. Once you’re set up, you mainly just water your plants every few days for a few months until harvest. When it comes to plant care, this particular grow method is one of the least time-consuming.
This tutorial will show you how to grow organic plants just like this
After setting up, basically you just add water and wait for harvest!

Start Growing in Super Soil!
|
Ready to start growing your own organic weed?
Here's what you need:
- Super soil (composted and amended soil) – You can make it but for your first grow you may want to buy pre-made super soil to see how much you like this method. You need 1 pound of super soil for every 1 gallon of pot size. Example: If growing in a 5-gallon pot, you would use 5 pounds of super soil. I highly recommend
KindSoil. I’ve found that other brands of super soil just don’t seem to last as well until harvest, and often are surprisingly smelly. KindSoil really got the formula right.
- Regular Organic Potting Soil – In addition to the super soil, you need 2x that amount of regular soil. The bottom 1/3 of your pot will be super soil, which acts as a nutrient reservoir for hungry roots to dig into as needed. The top 2/3 of your pot will be filled with regular organic soil so young plants don’t get overloaded with nutrients.

LEDs vs LECs Grow Journal Update

Update: LEDs vs LECs grow journal
All plants are in a 2'x4'x6' grow tent. Both lights are 18" from tops of plants. These pictures were taken on day 48 from the initiation of a 12/12 light schedule.

HLG 300 LED tent: Several plants are starting to turn purple from the top down. Many buds seem bigger in this tent
(though the Mandarin Cookies plant in front middle has significantly bigger buds under the LECs). I've been pleasantly surprised by the HLG 300. It uses about 20% less electricity than the LEC, produces less heat, and the buds are rock hard. The Ocean Fruit and Pacific Punch buds may be the hardest/most dense buds I've ever grown.
315 LEC tent: Buds in both tents are covered in trichomes (thanks to extra-sparkly genetics) but the LEC tent looks like it snowed. Every sugar leaf
is covered in trichomes, and lots of the fan leaves are, too. This is going to be some epic trim! I'm so curious what the differences will be after harvest.
For the most fair comparison in the LEDs vs LECs experiment, I've avoided messing with the plants after they went into the tents (besides giving water). I don't want to unintentionally affect the results by introducing new variables, so I've abstained from my normal plant training tactics like lollipopping and other forms of pruning. The tents are a little wild as a result, but this ensures grower skill does factor into the outcome. Anyone could copy this grow and get the same results!
Compare the differences between buds grown under a HLG 300 LED (Quantum Board) vs a 315 LEC.
- Top pictures are buds from the LED tent
- Bottom pictures are matching buds from the 315 LEC tent
Since theses clones have been treated identically, any differences are likely from the grow lights.
Palm Beach Sour Apple x 87 Limepop (Lemon Lime series)
The smell is overpowering! It's so strong I can't tell which tent smells more.

"In December 2018 I did a cross with Lemon Skunk and OG Kush (wich turned almost purple due the cold climate).
My surprise was that almost all the plants from those seeds turned into purple buds.
I was even more surprised when I discovered that also the trichomes were turning purple
Thanks for this awesome page, I’ve been reading you and trusting you. The pictures are from a small clone that was used first to create feminized pollen with colloidal silver, then re-vegged, and then to bud"

A fun experiment that ends with great trichome shots. A+! ~Nebula

"OG Upsetter great strain for SOG
And it tastes and smells just like it looks it would."
