This week is off to a much better start than last. Thank you for your patience, and thank you for the Frugal Instant Pot cookbook purchases and reviews. It would boost my spirits every time I'd see a purchase come through. I can't tell you how rewarding a feeling it is to create something like this little digital cookbook and have people find value in it. Thank you!
Now let's move into the newsletter content I wanted to share with you last week. It's all about Teriyaki sauce. This little obsession of mine started a few weeks ago when I rediscovered an old family favorite - Teriyaki Chicken.
By the way, do you do this? You cook a dish regularly for a while and then forget about it? I think for us it often starts because we make something so often that we get tired of it. I stop making it for a few weeks, and it just sort of falls out of the rotation. We did this with Teriyaki Chicken until my husband asked for it one day.
Since then it's been all about the Teriyaki sauce at my house, which is why I thought I'd share my recipe for making it at home with you.
You won't believe how quick, easy, and tasty this is.
Next I figured out that I could also make the same sauce in the Instant Pot. You may be wondering why I would want to do something like that. It's simple - because it's completely hands-off. There's no pot to watch, no sauce to stir. You just dump it all in and come back to perfectly cooked teriyaki sauce. I wish this had
been an option when my daughter was little and always underfoot when I was cooking.

Last but not least, let's talk about my new personal favorite - Teriyaki Noodles. This is such a simple, tasty dish. I make it for lunch quite a bit, or as a side dish for dinner. It goes well with the skillet Teriyaki chicken, but I've also been known to toss in a bit of leftover cooked chicken or pork to make it an entire meal. For a vegetarian meal option consider adding a bag of frozen stir fry veggies, or some shredded cabbage. This always hits the spot
when I'm craving Chinese food. (Yes, I realize it's technically a Japanese condiment, but it works for me).
