actionable marketing guide

Dear ,

As the holidays approach and everyone is pushing their holiday sales, publishing their best of lists for 2014 and predictions for 2015, make sure that you take some private time for yourself.

Sit down with your beverage of choice and assess what you’ve done this year. This isn’t a catalog of work projects. Nor is this list for anyone but you.

Regardless of whether it was large or small, write down what you did. The goal is to get a personal sense of achievement and help you see where you’ve been relative to where you want your life to take you. Include other aspects of your life like family, friends, community, health and spiritual.

For example on my list, I had the opportunity to give a keynote at a CRM conference in Santiago, Chile. I extended the trip to see the Atacama Desert, an amazing experience. This was both a professional and personal accomplishment.

Sometimes our goals are so big that we can’t make progress because we feel the weight of doing them crushing our activity. Instead, you have to take action on a regular basis to do the things that are important to you. In my experience they don’t happen by accident.

Often it’s the small steps, taken together that enable us to make progress towards bigger goals. Most of us need to chip away, small action by small action to achieve our goals.

Use this holiday time to celebrate the progress you’ve made towards the life that you want.

Sometimes all your business needs is a fresh look to find new opportunities to increase your sales and profitability. That’s one of the reasons that I’m attending Social Media Marketing World in San Diego.

Happy marketing,
Heidi Cohen
