How did your 2015 marketing plans work last week?
For many the first week of the year is like the first week of a diet. You can stay on it and avoid eating anything that’s not on the plan.
Unless of course, life gets in your way as happened to me last week.
Last Monday, I went to my
desk ready to tackle my 2015 plans with gusto but unfortunately life had other things in store for me.
Nothing life threatening mind you but enough to get me derailed from my high expectations for my New Year’s start.
As my dad used to say, Murphy visited me, referring to Murphy’s Law that
says, “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.”
So what will I do? Not let last week’s performance prevent me from getting my 2015 plans going. So this week, I’m going to pretend is the first week of 2015.
What does this mean for your marketing?
You have to keep focused on your goals and break your activities into small chunks that you can accomplish. Realize that this occasionally may mean you have to call it a day and start fresh tomorrow.
